Carter Bells in the Community
Carter Bells has strong links with the local community. We are proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Rose Theatre (rosetheatrekingston.org) and to support local charities. Many staff members have long associations with local voluntary groups such as the Rotary and Round Table. The firm regularly fields teams in charity events run by companies from the surrounding area (and sometimes we nearly win!)
Nominated Charity
Much as we would love to support every charity that approaches us, we decided that concentrating our resources on just one charity each year would have more impact. Our main criterion is that our chosen charity (and it’s always a difficult choice) should be a local one.
In 2010 we are supporting Momentum, a Kingston-based charity dedicated to children with cancer and other life limiting conditions. Momentum provides equipment for and works to improve facilities in local hospitals. It also puts children and their families in touch with each other to provide their own support network. The main focus of our charity fundraising each year is the Enigma Challenge, an event that pits the wits of a number of invited teams as they compete in a series of missions. Click here for information on the Enigma Challenge 2009.
