Awarded his LLB from Southampton University in 1976, Richard went on to train with City firm Church Adams Tatham & Co., where he qualified as a solicitor in 1980. Richard joined the George Carter practice in 1983 gaining broad experience in property trust and estate work Became a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) in 1993. Since the formation of Carter Bells in 1999 he now specialises mainly in business development and commercial property work and most notably has transacted recently a number of corporate sales at a sale price in excess of £15 million.
