Since completing Law School in 2001, Roland has been involved in settling, mediating and disputing claims in various Courts and Tribunals.
Having initially started out defending Personal Injury Claims for an insurance company, Roland then worked for a City firm of solicitors, processing Claims for a Lloyds Syndicate.
During training as a Solicitor he gained an insight into Residential and Commercial property transactions. It is this experience that provided Roland with an ideal background for advising on general disputes and those with an element of property, including landlord and tenant matters.
Roland qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and joined Carter Bells LLP in 2008. Roland now specialises in property litigation, general civil litigation (including debt recovery) and professional negligence claims (actions against other solicitors).
Roland regularly appears on behalf of clients in the County Court and the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal. He is happy to accept instructions on an Agency basis and was recently successful in defeating a last minute Appeal regarding an Order for Possession.
Roland’s clients are varied and include individuals (including landlords and tenants), freehold and management companies (ranging from a few converted flats to very large blocks with over 200 flats), property developers, travel companies, schools, accountants and hairdressing franchises.
Roland is married and has two young children. He plays 5-aside football and is always trying to find time to watch DVD box sets.
